1. What’s your most treasured item in your wardrobe?
Without a doubt it is my Dolce and Gabbana tuxedo. Every time I wear it, I feel absolutely incredible. I’ve worn it to numerous special occasions such as my best friend’s wedding and recently when I was included in the Men’s Style Magazine ‘ Men of Style’ issue. So the tuxedo is packed full of special memories and moments.
2. Who is your style icon?
Tom Ford is my number one style icon and style crush. The man can do no wrong. Justin Timberlake, Steve McQueen and Mario Mastroianni also inspire me. Sophia Loren is my number one female style icon. I was so honoured to style her and meet her, without a doubt one of the highlights of my life to date.
3. What makes someone stylish in your eyes?
They generally do not follow trends, they are comfortable in their own skin, they are not flashy yet they exude a stylish sophistication. They always wear the clothes and never allow the clothes to wear them.
4. How would you describe your personal style?
My style is quite classic but I always like to inject a modern twist. I have a strong affinity with European styling (especially Italian style) and I also believe it does not cost a lot to look good. I wear lots of high street brands such as Zara, Topman, YD, Roger David and River Island.
5. What was your biggest fashion faux pas?
Two words: triple denim. Granted it was in the late 90’s when all the boy bands were wearing it. I wore a denim blazer with jeans and pointed shoes made from denim. I feel dizzy just thinking about it.
6. What is your favourite Italian fashion brand?
Picking just one is like naming your favourite child. But if I had to choose just one, it would be Dolce and Gabbana.
7. Who epitomises sprezzatura to you?
It would have to be someone smooth, stylish, unique and Italian. So maybe Monica Bellucci or Carla Bruni.
